The Brissago Islands are two islands on the Swiss side of Lake Maggiore

Isola Grande (also known as Isola di San Pancrazio) and Isola Piccola (Isola di Sant'Apollinare or Isola dei Conigli) are both true gems, where visitors can relax in enchanting natural surroundings.

Isola Grande, the only one of the islands open to the public, is home to a botanical garden created in the late nineteenth century, and the neoclassical Villa Emden, built in the 1920s.

Isola Piccola cannot currently be visited, but the island is used for educational and work programmes by the Sopraceneri Special Schools.
