The Brissago Islands, in cooperation with the Società di navigazione del Lago di Lugano (SNL) and the Hotel Villa Emden, will be open for the first time in Winter.
The opening weekends are as follows:
Admission tickets can only be purchased at the departure landing stages: Locarno, San Nazzaro, Ascona and Brissago.
The entrance fee is CHF 5 for adults, children up to 16 years of age enter free of charge (boat excluded).
On this occasion, the Islands can be visited in a unique setting, surrounded by the calm of winter and the tranquillity of the garden. Discover the winter blooms independently or through the short botanical tours offered at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM included in the entry fee (meeting point: Prato delle Palme).
A treasure hunt dedicated to Christmas traditions from around the world, included in the entry fee, will also be available.
The Hotel Villa Emden will provide a limited food service during opening hours for a delightful break.
During the winter period, the Brissago Islands are involved in necessary maintenance work, taking advantage of the absence of visitors on weekdays. You will therefore have the opportunity to discover some fascinating behind-the-scenes work in progress for the new season, both on some parts of the island and inside the villa. We invite you to visit the garden and appreciate its uniqueness even at this stage.
